Bin Anchoring

Chances are, this has either happened to you, or you know someone that this has happened to.  If not, then you have seen this somewhere over the years.  Bins laying on their sides don't do you any good.  By not having them anchored, you take your chances.  Flat bottoms are just as susceptible to going over as hopper bottoms.  A bin that goes over may tip onto a vehicle, onto another bin, or even onto an auger or conveyor.  Don't take chances.  Get them ANCHORED!!

Save $$$$$ on your insurance.  Anchored bins reduce your premium.

Having the cables tight reduces the "tip play" of your bin.  If anchor cables are loose, the bin can lift a bit, and can then rock in the wind.  Any slack in the cable is multiplied in movement at the top of the bin. The following picture shows our tight 3/8 (shiny one) and the competition (the dull grey one).

Which would you prefer???
